Office of the CEO
The Office of the CEO comprises the Business Development and Stakeholders sub-unit, which is responsible for international initiatives and growing SAQA’s international footprint.
The Office of the CEO manages the affairs of SAQA, as a statutory body, in terms of the National Qualifications Framework Act, No. 64 of 2008 as amended, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and other relevant legislation.
This division oversees the performance of the organisation and manages compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This office positions SAQA through strategic advocacy and marketing and international engagements and cooperations, thereby ensuring the National Qualifications Framework has a high profile.
Governance, Risk, Compliance & Legal Unit
The Governance, Risk, Compliance and Legal unit is responsible for the oversight of the implementation of the Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan; performance monitoring and evaluation; and reporting to the Minister: HESI and other prescribed stakeholders.
Human Resource Unit
The Human Resource unit is responsible for providing human resource support to discharge the Authority’s mandated functions and achieve their planned performance targets while embracing diversity, environmental sustainability, and social justice. This unit ensures that SAQA employs the right people with the right skills, and that staff are trained to deliver on SAQA’s mandate.
